What is the Magic Key Joystick?
This computer software transforms a normal joystick into a mouse.

What are the characteristics of the Magic Joystick?
This software is adaptable to the needs of each user. The top speed of the cursor can be controlled as can the functions of the different buttons. For example, you can configure a button for double click, such that the user will simply press the button once to double click. You can also program a button to select; the user then simply presses that button to enter select mode until the next time the button is pressed.

Can I surf the Internet?
Yes, you can use any program installed in your computer. This includes word processing, e-mail, drawing programs, chat, and so on.

Can this system be used by people with high levels of hand tremors?
Through adjustable speed and acceleration parameters, significantly stable cursor movement is maintained, making this item particularly useful for people with this type of problem.

What is the target market of this system?
Everyone who has upper body problems and cannot use, or has serious difficulty using, the keyboard and conventional computer mouse.
The following groups will be particularly interested:
• Cerebral Palsy patients who use electric wheel chairs with hand controls.
• The elderly with fine motor skills difficulties.
• People with neuro-muscular diseases/illnesses and Parkinson’s.

What equipment is needed? Will any computer do?
You will simply need a computer with a USB portal.

Can I place the cursor on any pixel?
Yes, the resolution of the system is in terms of pixels, regardless of monitor/screen resolution.

Does the computer slow down when using this software?
No, this software has no measurable impact on the performance of other software.

How much does the Magic Key Joystick cost?
The price of the Magic Joystick, including software and necessary wiring is €100 + 5% tax. A wireless Joystick is only and additional €25.

How much does it cost to install?
If you pick up your order in Guarda, Portugal, there will be no instalment fees. If instalment is on-site, the fee is €150 + 21% tax with appropriate technical training.

What are the maintenance costs?
All the software upgrades carried out over the first 24 months, via software sent by Internet, are free. Technical assistance via e-mail, telephone or otherwise not requiring transportation is also free whereas transportation costs will be incurred in accordance with the official price table.

Is financing available for the Magic Joystick?

Can the Joystick buttons be physically changed to improve the user characteristics?
Yes, individual case studies permit changes that best adapt to the end user.
